A CANAANITE STEATITE SCARAB WITH ORIGINAL BRONZE RING

Second Intermediate Period; 15th -17th Dynasty, (c. 1600-1500 BCE)
In the form of a scarab beetle on the obverse with an inscribed reverse depicting a falcon headed figure holding a ureaus by its tail in each hand. Originally this scarab was worn as a ring and was believed to have amuletic qualities. The bronze ring is included with this piece, as found.
