A SASANIAN GLASS BOTTLE

This bottle is free blown of dark green glass with an oblate spheroid body, a short neck and an everted rim. The rim is also folded to create a narrow mouth to prevent the escape of precious oils. The vessel is decorated with repeating wheel cut lines on the shoulder and upper body of the vessel. A deep pontil mark is present on the bottom.
In excellent condition with extensive iridescence present.
