Middle Bronze Age II; â€śAge of the Patriarchsâ€ť, c. 2000-1550 BCE
This dagger if formed into a sharp point and its body is reinforced with five ribs. Each of these elements is a direct response to warfare technology developing at this time and were intended to increase the dagger's effectiveness in hand to hand combat. Two holes can be seen in the tang of the blade for attachment of a handle with one of the rivets still in place.
In excellent condition with natural Holy Land patina present.
